Information has been forwarded to Island Secretaries about us recently acquiring the use of certain schools as sites for accommodation. One of these sites is within a few minutes' walking distance from The National Stadium. With three schools and the Regiment barracks available to us we have approximately 1,000 beds at around 50 pounds a night - depending on what meals might be needed there.
In addition we have The Fairmont Hotel properties in Hamilton and Southampton with a considerable number of beds available to us, along with the Grotto Bay Hotel.
None of the hotels can be booked at the Games price at this stage. We will be discussing the allocation at the AGM.
Meals - We are guessing that most of you will only want breakfast at your accommodation and will use the Athletes' Village at The National Sports Centre for food, or the nearby city of Hamilton.
