Ian Gordon
Tennis co-ordinator

Ian Gordon is the tennis co-ordinator.

William Joell Tennis Stadium is one of the most popular and well known tennis clubs in Pembroke and is owned by the Government of Bermuda. Anybody including tourists can play here by paying a fee. However the rush hour starts after 5pm on the weekdays.
Until 2003, this was known as the Government Tennis Stadium. Later it was renamed after Joell who was instrumental in breaking the racial discrimination on the courts of this stadium. Now the blacks can also freely participate in the games. Joell also went a step forward to elevate Bermuda's tennis skill levels by organizing funds to bring in external coaches. He received Queen's Certificate for his valued contribution towards Bermuda's Tennis.
